Grey c-dilute brindle babies!
Folks, Cowgirl and Elektra have given me the first grey c-dilute babies of the Brindle Empire, all carrying s and two of whom are splashed! I am so much closer to my goal.
Here is Cowgirl's daughter, The Vachess:
Here are Elektra's babies, left to right, Lightning Bug (buck), Firefly (doe), and Feces (doe):
Lightning Bug and Firefly are lightly splashed. It shows most on the left sides of their waists, though you can see it on their backs.
Feces appears to be my first c^ch/c^ch brindle, and as such the very first Mrs. Beach-colored brindle born into the Brindle Empire! Tadah!
All the others are c^ch/c^e. You'd think c^ch/c^ch would be darker than c^ch/c^e, but not on A^vy because c^ch removes red colors...see? This was the biggest revelation to me and what enabled me to find the correct c-dilute combination to achieve Mrs. Beach color. What I have yet to decide is whether c^ch/c^ch brindles or c^ch/c^e brindles would look better as tricolors. I'm thinking the c^'ch/c^e because I'd basically have a very dark color, white, and an orange color. I like the contrast. But I'd be getting some Mrs. Beach-colored brindles every litter. Sounds good to me!
A note about her name. My husband, John, told me a story once of a woman who named her daughter Vagina because it's a word she'd heard in the hospital when she delivered and it sounded so pretty. If you think about it, "feces" is a very pretty-sounding word. I remarked as much to John one day and said it would be a good name for a mouse, so he dared me to name a mouse Feces. I did.

The brindling and splashes make such a subtle pattern, they're just gorgeous!! And so plump and healthy!
As a fan of crazy names, I heartily approve of Feces. But I thought it was a reference to the movie Donnie Darko. [someone says there's feces everywhere. Then one little girl asks another girl what feces are. "They're baby mice," the girl says.]

Eep! The Vachess grew balls! Time to find a different name for, er, him! BTW, the ex-Vachess weighs 28.8g...on Day 20 !!!!!!! He's going to be huge!

UPDATED BABY PIX
BTW, I renamed the Vachess Duff, and Duff was more than 40g when he was weaned!
Top to bottom: Firefly, Lightning Bug, and Feces.
Left to right: Firefly, Lightning Bug, and Feces.
Left to right: Skutterbotch and Ember.
An older c-dilute brindle, looking very much like Mrs. Beach's colors: Prince Choo!
