Variety photos needed!
We are working on a varieties section on our website (which is not up yet).
We need photos of all varieties of mice!
If you have one, post it here!
The requirements are that the photos be take non a white background, as clean and clear as possible. Try to make sure you show the mouse fully from nose to tail, please!
Thanks!
Currently need:
Lilac
Beige
Himalayan
Burmese
Splashed
ALL COAT TYPES!
People seem to be really open to the idea of sharing photos. So if you know someone who has a mouse photo that you've seen somewhere that would help us, just ask! I've had great luck asking around for photos to use on the site.
Thanks so much!
For those interested, here is a preview of the site! The standards page is our main focus right now, so the rest of the site is very un-finished, but you can view all of our photos by clicking the section! Clicking the photos will enlarge them, and in some cases show more photos of the variety!

I can do black, chocolate, and agouti tan. Also self black, and x-brindle. I'll also look through my old pics. I think I might have some ivory, PEW, splashed, and gosh knows what else. None of them will be amazing examples but they could work.

Re: Variety photos needed!
As long as they are clearly identifiable examples of the varieties.
Long from now, I would like to have a prime example of each variety, as well as a normal example of each variety
Just make sure the photo is taken on a white background!
Thanks!

Re: Variety photos needed!
Does it matter if they're up on a white stand?
If it does, then I can only do the first few. If it doesn't, then I probably contribute quite a few.
Also, do they have to be fully mature, or can younger mice work (for now, until they can be replaced).

Re: Variety photos needed!
Younger mice are fine for now. It just needs to have a white background. On a stand is fine.
Here's an example of an acceptable image, even thought it's an ASF and not a mouse, lol.
EDIT: Actually, for now, a light coloured solid background would work too.

That is a really nice ASF! I had no idea you bred that color, is it "high white"? You can use my angora pics from the critique section but I don't know if the lighting is good enough.

That is a high white type, yes. It's a PEW.
I also breed REW, BEW, Platinum, agouti, argente, cinnamon, irish, and i'm working on 'dalmation'.

I just posted RY in the breeding section...after you look at that let me know, I also have a non-satin RY so the color may be better.

Perfect! Thanks!
Who bred the mouse? And would you rather me put your name or mousery name on the photo?

Re: Variety photos needed!
I haven't gotten around to taking pictures of the tans and other guys I have here. These are just pictures I had in my albums of past mice. You can feel free to use them if you want, I know a lot are of juveniles or not ideal. I did own all the mice, but I didn't breed all of them. I'll put a note if they were bred by someone else. I DID take all the pictures though. It won't hurt my feelings if you don't use them
Silver
Hymalayan (Rex)
Dove (Rex)
Blue (Rex)
Chocolate
Black
Ivory
Champagne Tan (bred by GYPT)
Ivory Satin (bred by WNT)
Now if only I could get some sunlight, I might be able to take some pictures of adults!

I can do blue standard and a pied mouse if that helps. The only other mice I have are black standards.

Blue standard and piebald would be great! Just make sure they're on a light background!
I can edit them, like I did to the others a bit, so just do your best!
Zia, do you want your Mousery name, or Full name, or both on the images?
And what's your full name, if you want that on there.

Re: Variety photos needed!
The National mouse club has given us permission to use all of their variety photos! What an amazing honor this is!
With that in mind, all of the varieties that are on the NMC's show standards page, now have photos, but we need to fill in the gaps!
I'll update the list with which photos we need! Thanks!

Re: Variety photos needed!
I wil post some pictures after I go through my drive. I have a ton of pictures that you may be able to use. Unfortunately the light background may be a problem.
