I have a TH doe whose nails I've never trimmed because they don't grow like other TH do. They look like normal mouse nails. :/ She also has unusually thick skin. She's the oldest TH I've kept though and is 4/5 months old, so I've always thought that was why her skin was thicker, but I'm not sure since there isn't much info out there about TH.

I would appreciate any input you other TH breeders might have to offer! Have any of you ever had a TH whose nails you DIDN'T have to trim?

Here are pics:

Showing a bit of ignorance, but is there any way she is both fuzzy and TH? Her skin looks like my baby fuzzies and a few adult fuzzy hairless that I've seen.

Nope. Aside from being TH, she's also a Satin Angora, not Fuzzy.

Here's a baby pic of her:

Well, satins have slightly less tough nails. It's possible that they are just wearing down naturally.

Hmmm...interesting! If I get any other Satin TH I'll definitely have to hold onto them and see if the Satin is playing some part in them having normal nails. If so, I'll be breeding ALL my TH into Satin to try and eliminate having to trim nails! Lol.

I have had some hairless that develop the thick skin, but it's always when they're older, and only bucks. Sorry I don't have more information on this!
