Some Imperial brindle babies.
NEW FROM THE SUPER LINE:
From MBBE Rexina x MBBE Dandelion. They are both c^ch/c^e and I think the one on the right in the first pic may be splashed!
NEW FROM THE THIN LINE:
From SLEEPY Ear Notch x SLEEPY trip.
Here's the whole litter before culling:
And here's what I've saved (Day 9).
There's a splashed brindle in there! The c-dilutes in this litter are c^e/c^h. Got a surprise fuzzy (the black one)! Two of those orange brindles are gaining weight very fast. I'm thinking they'll be obese and will need to be culled.
So now I have (potentially) two splashed brindles, one with c^ch, to add to MBBE Raindrop, who is A^vy, splashed and c^ch/c^e. The Masked Wonder is potentially A^vy, c^ch/c^e, and tri. Can c^ch/c^e and c^ch/c^ch tricolor brindles be far away?

Re: Some Imperial brindle babies.
Rexina x Dandelion's Imperial brindle babies on Day 17: a^t/A^vy, c^ch/c^e. The lighter one is a buck and splashed. You can see the splashing through his a^t. The darker one is a doe. I wonder if it's splashed. I don't think so.
Splashes showing on belly, to right:
a^t belly of the darker one (the doe):
I'll be breeding out the a^t, though it was serendipitous to have in this case because it proved to me that the lighter one was really splashed.
Here is Ear Notch x Dandelion's splashed baby, a buck, on Day 15. He is way bigger than Rexina's babies, but his mother is way bigger than Rexina.
NOW, if I can get some c^ch/c^e tris in the Victorian Line by crossing in some c^ch from m137b, I'll be all set to create some Imperial brindle tricolors!

Re: Some Imperial brindle babies.
I love watching your progress. If I ever won the lottery I'd have a lovely red brindle shipped out asap.

Re: Some Imperial brindle babies.
Thank you, Seafolly! The big "tadah" will come when the second s is added to these babies and the pallette of blended colors turns into patches of distinct colors: white patches, orange patches with black stripes, and grey patches with black stripes. (That's four--count 'em! four--colors on one mouse!) I think I am one generation away from this, but the oldest Imperial brindle doe, Raindrop, will not be breedable until 10/27. More waiting.
Re: Some Imperial brindle babies.
I'll stay tuned!
