New unplanned bubs
So awhile back some mice got loose in the basement and we haven't been able to catch them.
Well, I opened a drawer in the basement and there was a litter of bubs and momma. I was able to catch them but momma is wild as can be. My bet is that she was born in the basement and this is a second generation.
Momma looks like a chocolate and the bubs are a mix of colors.
I have no idea who dad is so any guess what color he is?
They're safely in a cage now with food and water and bubs will be handled so they stay friendly
But they are a great group and a nice surprise

Sooo, that means you still have atleast one buck on the loose. Open up other doors and maybe you will get some more surprises. Great story. I can't wait to get updates on the babies.

Well, looks like you got another chocolate and a bunch of c-dilutes. Mom is, at very least, b/b C/* Sa/sa. Dad is probably */b */*^* (C or a c dilute/c dilute) */sa. Dad's phenotype could be anything: black, chocolate, Siamese, Himilayan, colorpoint beige, etc. Just keep your eyes out for a mouse! From the genes they have in common, they could well be littermates.
This is basically the palette of your WNT tris minus s/s and Spl. Let us know how their type is. WNT type is unmistakable.

The mom is def not WNT type. She's the smallest pet store mouse ever! LOL ;-)

What happened to all your WNT babies? You once had so many you were giving them away!

Very cute! It'll be interesting to see how they turn out in terms of personality with the mother untamed!

Thanks, me too. They seem good so far. I can put my hands in the cage with them and they don't scatter and they don't bite. Very promising!
